It is with the greatest of sadness that US Strategic Minerals Exploration, LLC shares the heartbreaking news of the death of our colleague and friend, William Berryman, who passed away on January 21, 2021.

Bill loved his work and was passionate about geology and our Utah project, and when Bill joined US Strategic Minerals Exploration, LLC he took on the position of Vice-President Geology. Regardless of the challenges he may have had along the way, everyone who’d ever had the privilege of working with him always found him a special pleasure to work with.

Bill was such an extraordinary person and this is truly a great loss to our company and to our community as a whole. Bill will be profoundly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Nevertheless, by his own last wishes, let us remember Bill Berryman each time, with a smile upon our faces.

William M (Bill) Berryman III was born in Jackson, Tennessee on January 26, 1945, to William and Dorothy Mae (Clemmons) Berryman. Bill grew up in Elberton, Georgia with his siblings that followed: Sandra, Steven, and Deborah Berryman. Bill graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, with a major in geology and worked towards a doctorate degree at the University of Wyoming. He also received a Fulbright Scholarship to work and do research in Iceland. Bill loved his work and was passionate about geology, consulting with many national and international companies in the oil, gas, and geological industries. Over the years Bill consulted with companies from California, New Mexico, and Colorado, Iceland, and Russia; providing his geological expertise to the USGS; Texaco Oil; Impel Energy; The Snyder Oil company; The Colorado School of Mines, and The Vatoil Company in Russia.

Bill is survived by his wife Elvera; his daughters Soley and Ilona and his son Evgeny; his grandchildren Kiljan, Brynja, Yunna and Arthur; his mother Dorothy Berryman and his siblings Sandra, Steven and Deborah. He is preceded in death by his son Steven and his father William Berryman Jr.
